I have been the administrative assistant for Bonsack United Methodist Church since April, 2007. I worked as a secretary/bookkeeper for many years for law firms in Boston, Massachusetts, and did the bookkeeping for various non-profit organizations in Massachusetts. I grew up in the Boston area and attended Rosemont College in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, for two years; and then graduated from the Katharine Gibbs School in Boston. I have been married to Jim Murphy since 1973, and we have three daughters: Melissa is married to Brad Pflum and lives in Washington, D.C. Emily is a senior at California State University at Chico and Katie is a sophomore at Purdue University. We live in the Steeplechase subdivision in Botetourt County with our dog Pepper. My hobbies include crossword puzzles, Sudoku and the like as well as a passion for reading |
