The ministries offered for adults here at Bonsack United Methodist provide activities that help our adults to grow spiritually, mentally, and physically. Many of our adult groups are involved in the various missions that our church supports. The United Methodist Men sponsor an annual apple butter making event to raise money for missions. An annual "Auction for Missions" event is always fun as well as monetarily productive. The Missions Committee sponsors this event and the whole Church family is involved. Our “Experienced Adults” volunteer weekly at the Ronald McDonald House. We have groups who provide meals, financial support, etc. to an inner-city ministry to youth called the Trinity UMC Community Outreach Program. We have adults who accompany youth to Hayesville, North Carolina each Summer to the Hinton Rural Life facility there. They work on projects for Clay County residents who are underprivileged. United Methodists vow to be loyal to Christ through the United Methodist Church and to faithfully participate in its ministries by their prayers, their presence, their gifts, their service, and their witness. There are many opportunities for adults here to practice these membership vows through activities such as: Communion Servers, Ushers, Liturgical Readers, Greeters, Delivery of Children’s Messages, Teachers, Library Workers, Parish Caregivers, Music, Evangelism, and much more.
