Our congregation is involved in Mission work with outreach on all levels: local, community, national, and global.  Our mission is to pass on God’s gifts to others through financial and hands-on means.  The Missions Committee plans the main outreach of our Church, but many individual groups conduct their own mission projects.  No special skills are needed to become involved, only human compassion.  Various activities throughout the year involve members of our “Church Family” in philanthropic endeavors.  There is a monthly "Mission Emphasis" and items are collected for various charitable organizations.

The United Methodist Men sponsor an annual apple butter making event to raise money for missions and an annual "Auction for Missions" event is always fun as well as monetarily productive.  Our Experienced Adults volunteer weekly at the Ronald McDonald House.  We sponsor annual help days at Habitat for Humanities and participate in the “National Rebuilding Day”.  We have groups who provide meals, financial support, etc. to an inner-city ministry to youth called the Trinity UMC Community Outreach Program.  We have adults who accompany youth to Hayesville, North Carolina each Summer to the Hinton Rural Life facility there.  They work on projects for Clay County residents who are underprivileged.

International Missions
We have sent members of our congregation to minister in Africa, Brazil, Bethlehem, and Russia in the past few years.

Caring Ministry
We offer ways to minister to our members in times of sickness and tragedy.  We provide “Bereavement” Support when families are experiencing the loss of a loved one.  We have a “Flower Ministry” that takes the flowers from our altar for someone to enjoy the rest of the week.  We also provide a ministry to our “Shut-ins” who can’t get out to church.
